What happened to the Lakers?

I'm not a Lakers fan, but after that 36 point deficit and season ending loss to the Mavs yesterday. many are wondering, what happened? Honestly,the Lakers don't need to make drastic changes to their roster. if anything,they need a young point guard. If i were the Lakers front office, i would want to get into talks with Aaron Brooks, Rodney Stuckey, or Mo Williams. I metioned those 3 because i believe those three won't stay with their current teams seeing how their free agents this offseason.
